INCLUSIVE DESIGN IN BRUFAZO S.A.

With this briefing we wanted to show our client BRUFAZO S.A. the importance, advantages and resources to have in account in order to achieve an inclusive company capable to reach as many people as possible. 

DEFINITION OF INCLUSIVE DESIGN

Inclusive design is about diversity and empathy, the fight for the right to have the same access to services and products. We can achieved that by creating a responsive systems to simplify the way we access and interact with different products and services in daily situations.

Taking that into account, we wanted to focus in 2 points, from one hand, how to become an inclusive company and from the other hand, how to apply this concept to the materials and services they have to offer. 

Inclusive Design in the Company

Here we focused in 3 important parts of the company to be reconsider: 

1- UX web design 

The importance of the use of a dynamic content which support the accessibility
use headlines to distribute the content through the website:

- Make it visual

- Use diagrams and infographics 

- Navigation have to be intuitive and logical 

2- Branding 

Strategy to be followed to manage the related assets, either directly or indirectly, to a trade name and its corresponding logo or symbol.

3- Proposal of logo

- Simple,easy to recognise and easy to relate to design market

- Combination of a logotype and vector image that allows the brand to be recognizable in different ways, since we can use the image type or isotypee

- Bright colors to catch the attention, with a strong contrast to be easy to perceive for people with vision difficulties

Social inclusion in the company

Advantages for the company :

- Improve the self-confident for the disabled persons and increases their perception of independence.

- Increase the productivity and improve the attitude of the rest of employees.

- Internal improvement for the company as more possibilities to reach new markets and become more attractive for new clients and investors

Inclusive Design in Graphic Arts

Regarding to the inclusive design techniques to have in consideration in certain materials for this proposal we focused in 2 objectives, kids and blind people

1- Inclusive design in school materials

Inclusive design in school materials

In order to apply inclusive design here we have to take in consideration the differences between the users skills. The design must achieve :
 
- A design to be use for as many people as possible and adapt for the different skills. 

- The design must be adjust to a wide range of capabilities and individual skills.

- Have to be simple and intuitive. 

- Easy to perceive. 

- The design must to have an ergonomic result. 

Material for blind people

The elements must be perceptible to the touch and must offer a format that does not cause great displacements of the hand.The forms represented, the labels and the legends should be simple to read and easily to memorized.

In view of the above, they could offer material regarding to:

- Topographical representations. The aim of this technique is to represent a space with a tactile plane in relief, so that the person can "visualize" the mental representation of their environment and understand the spatial concepts.

- Braille in medicines packages. Allow people to identify the product.

- Blind engraving or embossed material. It consists in reproduce a relief in the paper by the effect of the pressure.

- Microgranulated screen printing .It is a recent and novel technique of labels  Braille printing.
